Manager, Accounting

DescriptionRobert Half has partnered with a medical firm on their search for a Manager, Accounting with proven payroll and tax expertise. This Manager, Accounting will oversee the payroll cycle, financial reporting, insurance renewals, financial controls, quarterly/yearly audits, employee stock plan programs, human resources adjustments, month end close activities, and implementation of new and upgraded financial controls. The ideal Manager, Accounting will have solid financial analysis skillset, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong understanding of GAAP standards, and the capacity to multi-task while meeting crucial deadlines.What you get to work on daily· Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities. · Oversee the full-cycle payroll process for approximately 200 employees, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. · Partner with Human Resources to manage payroll changes, employee deductions, benefits, and payroll-related reporting. · Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and supporting schedules. · Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts while investigating and resolving discrepancies. · Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and procedures. · Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting. · Support internal and external audits by preparing requested schedules and documentation. · Identify opportunities to improve accounting and payroll processes through automation and process enhancements. · Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership to support business initiatives and provide financial insights.RequirementsThe ideal Manager, Accounting MUST have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.Other requirements for the Manager, Accounting role include and are not limited to:· 8+ years of experience (Medical and/or Life Science industry preferred)· CPA preferred· Payroll experience is a MUST (200+ employees)· ADP and Sage software experience a PLUS· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills· Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsFor more information on this Manager, Accounting position and other full time accounting and finance opportunities, please contact us at View phone number on click.appcast.io and reference JO#03710-0013462589.Job typePerm
