divh2CDL Examiner (Third-Party Tester)/h2pUnder general supervision, the CDL Examiner (Third-Party Tester) administers and evaluates Commercial Drivers License (CDL) skills tests in strict compliance with federal and state DOT regulations. Supports IRSCs mission by ensuring fair, accurate assessments that promote workforce development and public safety. Responsibilities include conducting pre-trip inspections, basic control skills tests, and road tests; maintaining secure records; and collaborating with instructional staff on scheduling and reporting./ppSpecific duties and responsibilities include:/pulliConduct CDL skills tests (pre-trip, basic controls, and road test) for applicants as scheduled./liliAdminister tests following the precise specifications and procedures outlined by the Department and the Examiners Manual./liliAccurately record the results of each test, whether a pass or a failure, and submit them into the Departments PWS and CSTIMS systems by the next business day./liliAdhere to all anti-discrimination laws and provide reasonable accommodations for applicants with special needs, including arranging for American Sign Language interpreters when necessary./liliMaintain the confidentiality and security of all test materials and computer tablets provided for the examination./liliComply with unannounced inspections of your activities to ensure compliance./liliComplete annual written certifications confirming understanding and compliance with all policies and regulations./liliMaintain a valid Commercial Drivers License and a current, valid Third-Party Tester Certificate./liliComplete other duties and responsibilities as assigned./li/ulpQualifications, knowledge and skill requirements include:/pulliHigh School Diploma or equivalent./liliMust possess a valid and current Third-Party Tester Certificate issued by the State of Florida for the type(s) of CDL Skills Tests being conducted./liliMust have and maintain a valid Commercial Drivers License./liliFive (5) Years CDL experience preferred/liliDemonstrated ability to follow detailed procedures and regulations precisely./liliStrong communication and interpersonal skills./liliHigh level of integrity and a commitment to fair and impartial testing./liliExperience with or ability to quickly learn the Departments PWS and CSTIMS systems./liliMust be able to pass a review of official state driver record every six months./liliStrong knowledge of FMCSA and state CDL testing regulations./li/ulpPhysical demands include:/pulliThis position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, reach overhead, and lift or carry items occasionally exceeding 50 pounds./liliManual dexterity is essential for operating standard office equipment (e.g., copier, fax, telephone) and for conducting vehicle inspections and assessments./liliAbility to primarily work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, rain, and cold./liliAbility to work under extended periods of standing, walking, and observing candidates are required./liliAbility to frequently climb in and out of commercial vehicles is necessary./liliPossess visual acuity, auditory ability, and quick reflexes required to assess driving performance and respond to emergencies during testing./liliEmployees are expected to follow all IRSC safety standards and protocols while performing job duties/li/ulh2Classification/h2pStaff/ph2Supervisory/h2pNo/ph2FLSA Exempt/h2pNo/ph2Employment Type/h2pTemporary (Fixed Term)/ph2Compensation and Application Deadline/h2pPay range starts at: $29.00/hour | All salary calculations start at the minimum salary and will be based on candidates education and experience. | Open until filled./p/div
