RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator - (Outpatient)- Orthopedic Surgery

Position Summary Join a highly specialized orthopedic team supporting a foot and ankle surgeon in a fast‑paced outpatient setting. This RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator role offers the opportunity to work closely with patients throughout their care journey—providing education, coordinating treatment plans, and managing a busy surgical practice. Scheduled Hours 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday. No nights or weekends. Work onsite at two clinic locations (OC and BJWC). Primary Duties & Responsibilities Provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients; completes health history and physical examination; conveys findings to physician. Coordinates patient care orders, diagnostic tests, patient appointments, and referrals; attends inpatient rounds. Assists physician and provides support with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care. Performs nursing administrative duties, including compliance with environmental safety regulations, infection control standards and quality assurance. Acts as liaison and team leader, facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families and health team members; explains routines and procedures to patients and coordinates patient care information. Clinical/diagnostic equipment. Education A diploma, certification or degree is not required. Certifications / Professional Licenses Basic Life Support – American Heart Association. Basic Life Support – American Red Cross. Registered Nurse – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Registered Nurse – Missouri Division of Professional Registration. Work Experience Nursing – 2 years. Skills Clinical Experience. Clinical Research Coordination, Management and Methods. Continuous Learning, Critical Thinking, Customer Empathy. Database Management, Electronic Health Records (EHR), Epic EHR. Effective Written and Oral Communications. Patient Care Plans, Prioritization. Research Oriented, Spreadsheet Software, Statistical Analysis Software (SAS). Team Collaboration. Driver's License No driver’s license required for this position. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience. Current RN licensure in Missouri and/or Illinois in accordance with the Compact Act. Basic Life Support Certification or obtain it within one month of employment. Online BLS certifications without a skills assessment are not sufficient. Preferred Qualifications No additional education, certifications, work experience, or skills required unless stated elsewhere. Grade S26 Salary Range $60,800.00 – $105,700.00 per annum.
