Pay Rate: $65 - $70/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide inpatient adult oncology and Med/Surg Telemetry care, including specialized care for leukemia and lymphoma patients.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of acute adult oncology experience in an inpatient setting, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience.

• ASN required.

• Active New Jersey RN License or multi-state compact RN license.

• BLS (AHA) certification required.

• ACLS certification required.

• Chemo Certification required.

• Experience with IV insertion and phlebotomy.

• Strong basic nursing skills.

• Ability to provide care in an Oncology/Med-Surg Telemetry setting.

• English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.

• BSN preferred.

• Telemetry certification/experience preferred.

• ONS Chemo Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.

• Assess patient needs and determine priorities through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care.

• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage assigned patients.

• Provide patient-centered care according to professional nursing standards.

• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to established standards.

• Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, and other required nursing procedures.

• Monitor patients and identify changes in condition, particularly in acute adult oncology patients.

• Document patient care accurately according to standards of care and clinical priorities.

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

• Float within the facility to like units as required.

• Maintain compliance with nursing standards, policies, and patient safety requirements.

• Perform other nursing duties as assigned.
