Office Administration & Warehouse Logistics

Openwork is hiring an experienced Shipping & Receiving Coordinator for a warehouse and logistics company in Houston, TX 77073 .

This is a primarily office-based position focused on managing driver check-ins, processing shipping paperwork, responding to customer emails, entering orders, and coordinating shipments.

Qualified candidates must have at least 3 years of shipping and receiving, logistics coordination, or related experience, strong administrative and computer skills.

Position Details:

• Location: Houston, TX 77073.
• Pay: $20–$24/hr, based on experience | Weekly Pay.
• Schedule: Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.
• Employment: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire.
• Overtime: Occasional, including weekends.
• Work Setting: Primarily office-based.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage driver check-ins for pickups and deliveries.
• Prepare and organize shipping and receiving paperwork.
• Respond to customer emails and enter orders into the system.
• Print pick sheets for warehouse employees.
• Prepare and finalize shipping documents.
• Coordinate customer routing and schedule freight carriers.
• Communicate with customers, drivers, and warehouse personnel.
• Scan, organize, and save documents in shared folders.
• Email shipping documents and updates to customers.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and billing logs.
• Resolve order, shipping, and paperwork discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of shipping and receiving, logistics coordination, or related experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong computer, email, and data-entry skills.
• Experience preparing shipping paperwork and processing orders.
• Experience handling customer emails and shipment records.
• Ability to coordinate driver check-ins and freight shipments.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment.
• WMS or warehouse management system experience preferred.
• Dependable attendance and professional attitude.

Work Environment & Requirements:

• Primarily office-based position within a warehouse facility.
• Daily computer work, email communication, and data entry.
• Regular interaction with customers, drivers, and warehouse employees.
• Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks and deadlines.
• Strong organization, accuracy, and time-management skills.
• Professional communication and customer service.

Important: This position focuses on administrative shipping and receiving responsibilities, not physical warehouse or dock work. Candidates should have strong office, computer, and documentation experience.
