The Avenues of Brooklyn is looking for an experienced Director of Admissions to join their team. This highly visible position, must be passionate about healthcare, relationship-building, driven and making meaningful first impressions!

Responsibilities:

• Gather sufficient pre-admission data to determine resident level of care and the ability of the facility to properly care for the resident.

• Interview potential residents and resident’s representatives to collect accurate data.

• Work closely with the business office to ensure insurance information is accurate.

• Assign room numbers to residents in consultation with the nursing department and administration.

• Greet and escort residents to their assigned units.

• Follow admission, transfer, and discharge policies and procedures.

• Keep resident’s information accurate and confidential.

• Notify appropriate departments of admission.

• Explain facility philosophy, policies, and procedures to potential and new residents and their representatives.

• Complete admission paperwork with resident and/or resident’s representatives.

• Work closely with the Director of Business Development and assist with marketing the facility to maintain an adequate census level.

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate with additional training and or experience in long term care or recent college graduate looking to work in the long-term care industry.

• Prior Nursing Home Admissions and Business Development experience, a must.

Progressive Quality Care is growing again with another brand-new, beautiful, hotel-like skilled nursing facility located in Brooklyn, Ohio.
