What You'll Do:

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care for patients on the transplant, Med-Surg, and telemetry units
• Monitor patient vital signs and interpret cardiac rhythms, including reading cardiac strips (ACLS required)
• Assist with procedures including IV starts, blood draws, and wound care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including RT, OT, PT, and hospitalist services
• Document patient care using Meditech Expanse EMR accurately and efficiently
• Support unit functions such as phlebotomy and patient assessments
• Adhere to unit protocols with a patient ratio of 1:5 (RN), 2 CNAs

What You Need:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• 1+ year of experience in acute care Med-Surg/Telemetry
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Strong patient-focused skills, flexibility, and team orientation

• Experience in transplant or complex patient care
• Ability to float across units within scope of practice

About the Assignment: Join a busy, 325-bed facility in Shreveport, LA, recognized for stroke and chest-pain services. You will work in a dynamic environment supporting critically ill and post-transplant patients in a well-equipped unit featuring Meditech Expanse EMR, Alaris infusion pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing. The facility promotes teamwork and professional growth, offering orientation at the Innovation Center and on-unit training. This contract involves working a schedule of four days one week and three days the next, including every other weekend, with work on major holidays.
