Inspector

Overview The Inspector assists the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper in overseeing the cleanliness of the entire hotel. The Inspector acts as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper. This position includes assisting in the following areas: room inspections and inventory control, and providing 100 percent guest satisfaction at all times. Responsibilities Inspects rooms daily to ensure brand standards and overall cleanliness. Ability to open and close housekeeping department as needed. Report all maintenance tickets to the maintenance department in a timely basis. Excellent communication between all departments. Maintaining a positive work environment, treating employees fairly and respectfully as well as promoting a strong team atmosphere. Maintain a clean and organized department, storage closets, and ensure housekeeping carts are maintained according to HMS and IHG requirements. Be involved in training new hires and ensuring that they are set up for success to meet brand standards and overall cleanliness. Ensuring employees are trained in all emergency procedures, key safety, and guest safety. Ensuring 100 percent guest satisfaction and guest safety. Is committed to providing excellent service. Provides guests with hotel services, amenities and local attractions. Requirements Prior housekeeping experience is required. Prior experience in a hotel setting is preferred. Ability to plan, organize, and lead others Customer- service orientated Strong attention to smalldetails Ability to work in a fast- paced environment.
