IT ASSISTANT

Department: Information Technology Reports To: IT Manager Location: Guam / Project Sites Job Summary The IT Assistant provides administrative and technical support to the Information Technology Department by assisting with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and deployment of company technology resources. This position supports office and project site operations by helping ensure computer systems, software applications, communication equipment, mobile devices, and network resources remain functional, secure, and available to employees. The IT Assistant works closely with the IT Manager to support daily technology needs, maintain equipment inventory, and assist with IT-related projects and initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist the IT Manager with daily Information Technology operations and support activities. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment. Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, email, and connectivity issues. Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing equipment, user accounts, and technology access. Support setup and maintenance of internet, wireless, and communication systems for office and project site operations. Assist with software installation, updates, system upgrades, and technology deployments. Maintain inventory records of computers, technology equipment, software licenses, and related assets. Coordinate the distribution, collection, replacement, and transportation of company-issued technology equipment. Assist in monitoring equipment performance and reporting recurring issues to the IT Manager. Maintain organization, security, and accountability of IT storage areas, equipment, and supplies. Follow established cybersecurity, data privacy, and information security policies and procedures. Coordinate with vendors and service providers regarding equipment repairs and technical support as directed. Provide onsite technology support for project sites and remote work locations as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in information technology support, technical support, or a related role preferred. Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, mobile devices, and networking concepts. Valid Guam Driver's License preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain access credentials required for project sites, including military installations, if applicable. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic knowledge of computer systems, operating systems, and technology equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine technical issues. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 applications, and common business software preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and project personnel. Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to multiple support requests. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information and technology resources. Willingness to learn new technologies and systems. Ability to travel to project sites as needed. Work Environment Work is performed in both office and field/project site environments. May require travel between company offices, facilities, and construction project locations. May occasionally work outdoors or in active construction environments. May be required to lift, carry, or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Work schedule may vary based on operational and project requirements.
