Registered Nurse - Psychiatric

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive mental health nursing care to patients in a psychiatric setting. Deliver patient-focused interventions to promote recovery and well-being while adhering to clinical standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' mental health status and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Ensure a safe environment by following facility policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New York State RN License.
• Demonstrate at least two years of behavioral health nursing experience.
• Possess a minimum of two years of emergency room experience.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications including AHA BLS.
• Complete Primary Source Verification as per licensing standards.
