Incumbents in this position report to a DCF office daily. This position is not eligible for telework.

This posting will be used to fill position vacancies in both Career Service and Other Personal Service (OPS).

Multiple positions available.

Locations will be based on availability in Miami and Tampa, Florida.

Preference for Bilingual in Spanish/English or Creole/English.

Current DCF employees will be compensated in accordance with the DCF salary policy.

The full-time work schedule is 40 hours per week, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday.

What you will do:

The primary function of this position is providing clerical services related to government assistance eligibility in a contact center environment. This career consists primarily of phone interactions with customers and utilizing multiple computer systems. The work performed includes explaining eligibility of applicants and recipients of government assistance programs, determining eligibility for expedited Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) services, entering client data into a database based on intake of caller information, maintaining necessary files and records.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Candidates must have two (2) years of experience in clerical activities or public contact experience.
• Candidates must have the ability to attend a two to four-week mandatory paid training course.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least six (6) months of experience working in the ESS program.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English or Creole/English skills.
