Senior Scientist, Digital Insights (Hybrid)

Job Overview We are seeking a Senior Scientist to join our Digital Insights team within the Development Sciences and Clinical Supply (DSCS) Digital Technologies organization. The role focuses on leveraging large datasets, machine learning, and data science to support drug substance, product, and analytical development across small molecule, biologics, and vaccines portfolios. Responsibilities Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders to gather requirements for new digital and data solutions that have direct pipeline impact. Leverage state‑of‑the‑art digital and predictive tools to model large datasets and build connections across otherwise disparate or siloed data sets. Collaborate on refreshing the strategy for application of digital imaging capabilities. Application and generation of data analysis and visualization workflows. Design and development of dashboards, reports, and data exports. Data curation and support in defining needs for automation of data ingestion. Influence definition of digital strategy. Education Minimum Requirement Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Molecular Modeling, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely‑related field (with expected completion no later than August 2026). M.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Molecular Modeling, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely‑related field with at least 2 years of industrial/pharmaceutical or relevant experience. B.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Molecular Modeling, Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely‑related field with at least 4 years of industrial/pharmaceutical or relevant experience. Required Experience and Skills Familiar with programming such as R or Python and Posit/RStudio/Jupyter. Excellent communication skills, demonstrated creativity, and effective interpersonal skills. Ability to deliver complex solutions under compressed timelines in a dynamic environment. Ability to work in a team environment with cross‑functional interactions. Motivated to learn new skills, willingness to take on new challenges, and scientific curiosity. Preferred Experience and Skills Experience with data visualization tools (Shiny, Streamlit, Spotfire, Dash, PowerBI, or Tableau). Experience with data pipeline tools such as Dataiku or Databricks. Experience with relational databases, graph databases, and SQL. Experience with common process and analytical capabilities commonly utilized in pharmaceutical development. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $117,000.00 – $184,200.00. The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable.
