Assistant Office Assistant

The Primrose School of Chantilly has an immediate opening for an Assistant Office Assistant!! We are looking for a warm, energetic administrator to join our happy team! This is a full-time position located at our preschool which is conveniently located in Chantilly, VA close to Highway 50, Highway 28 and Centreville Road.

Skills:

• Must have a CDA, or higher education
• Must have preschool experience
• Must have good typing and computer skills, word, canva, newsletters, creativity, excel, powerpoint
• Must be willing to step in classrooms for coverage when needed- give breaks
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Competent and confident
• Ability to multi-task
• Able to work with others harmoniously
• Strong organizational skills
• Coachable and with a strong desire to learn
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
• At least two years' work experience in a licensed childcare facility, kindergarten or early childhood program preferred
• Experience in management, business, and/or public relations preferred.
• Reliability with attendance is a must
• Extensive knowledge of state licensing regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite, social media skills and posting and marketing skills
• High integrity
• Good listening and follow-up skills
• High coping capabilities
• Solution and detail-oriented
• Ability to use a desktop computer and an electronic tablet
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Must be available to open and/or close based on need
• Must be able to drive bus
• Must be able to open or close the school- flexible hours

Responsibilities:

• Understands, promotes, and models Primrose School of Chantilly.
• Provide superior customer service to all external and internal customers.
• Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Chantilly and the local, state, or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
• Assumes responsibility to manage operation of the front office.
• Assists the school Leadership Team with the necessary management responsibilities to ensure maximum enrollment and effective cost control to produce profit.
• Knowledge of, and adheres to, employment laws and compliance issues related to those laws.
• Assists in keeping school physically well kept, attractive, and safe.
• Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
• Ability to perform all of the essential functions for each position in the school, including, but not limited to, other leadership team positions, teacher, food service teacher, and bus driver.
• Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
• Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Primrose School of Chantilly Employee Handbook
• Assists in other capacities that Director, or designee, determines is necessary.
