Customer Service Representative

• Position Type: Direct Hire
• Location: Florham Park, NJ 
• Salary: $65,000/annually 
• Experience: 2-4 years
• Schedule : Monday thru Friday 8am-4:30pm

Position Summary
PrideStaff is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Customer Service Representative for our manufacturing client, supporting our customers and internal teams. This position is responsible for processing customer orders, preparing commercial invoices and packing slips, providing order status updates, and ensuring excellent customer service through phone and email communication. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to work effectively with multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is a full-time position in person at the Florham Park office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently in the company ERP system.
• Prepare and distribute commercial invoices, packing slips, and related shipping documentation.
• Communicate with customers via phone and email regarding order status, pricing, product availability, shipment tracking, and general inquiries.
• Provide timely updates and resolutions to customer requests and concerns.
• Coordinate with Accounting, Service, Engineering, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure accurate order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
• Assist customers with shipping information, tracking details, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
• Review and update daily and monthly shipping report in coordination with Warehouse
• Review orders for completeness and accuracy prior to processing.
• Monitor warranty orders and material to be returned (prepare and process RMA’s)
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the customer service function.
• Maintain clean and orderly files and work area
• Perform other administrative and customer support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical training or college a plus
• 2+ years of customer service / order processing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Professional and courteous customer service approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with ERP or order management systems preferred.
• Strong data entry and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
