An Inventory and Logistics Specialist isorganized, detail-oriented, and self-directedpersonwould do well in this role WORK LOCATION: San Luis Obispo, CA FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt SALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range for this role is $20 to $28 per hour. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment. Responsibilities The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties. Receive incoming shipments Packaging and shipping products for domestic and international export Document handling Prepare and present inventory reports Maintainaccurateinventory procedures, counts, and policies Examine various documents, including invoices, bills oflading, and shipping statements, to ensure compliance with regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and processing of documentation of exported material Ensures all policies and procedures are consistently followed Following all office procedures, including tracking hours and cleaning up workspaces Support miscellaneous stocking, kit-picking, and production relatedtasks asassigned Adhere to strict cycle count procedures tomaintainaccurateinventory Communicatetransaction problems or irregularities with Supervisor Continuous Improvement Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials. Reviewsorders for special requests and shipping information Receive incoming shipments. Pull original order(s), match order to incoming shipment and move the products to inventory. Match all original requests, orders, received or shipped products, track late orders with follow-up and documentation, move material to inventory control area, return damaged or incorrect products,documentsallprocesson company computersfor recordretention, communicate with management on any concerns. Pack products in containers for storage orshipment.Unpackcontainers for inventory receiving Move material with use of carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks and forklift; backfill material shortages for departmental needs Perform cycle count on inventory and resolve count variances on a weekly basis Maintain data and records related to shipping and receiving activities Optimizesefficient layouts, workflows, andutilizationof warehouse space Required Qualifications High School Diploma Forklift Certified IATA (Hazmat) Certified Demonstrated knowledge and experience of International Shipping Regulations Hazmat and Lithium-Ion battery shipping and packaging experience Detail Oriented Self-Directed Experience with shipping platforms, such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or other inventory management systems Proficiencyin programs such as Microsoft Excel and other data managementsystem Positive attitude Solution oriented Self-motivated with strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams Ability to communicate effectively Strong attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Experience with inventory management, product ordering, and manufacturing environments Redwire Defense Tech Benefits Matching 401(k) Paid PTO Paid holidays Medical, vision, and dental insurance Group Short-Term & Long-Term Disability HSA and FSA Options Critical Care Plan Accident Care Plan Clearance Requirements This position may require access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). Work Environment And Physical Requirements The work environment may involve a standard office setting while also incorporating elements of a production area. Employees will use standard office equipment, including computers, and must demonstrate stamina to sit or stand while maintaining attention to detail despite potential interruptions. The role may require occasional activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment. Employees may be able to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
