Solar Installer

Saguaro Solar Electric is looking for energetic people to work in a fast paced environment with a fast growing local PV installer. Ideal candidates are motivated team players with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn and master all aspects of PV solar systems. Responsibilities Work will be primarily performed as part of a team. Service work may be solo or with another service technician, varying based on job needs. Deliver high level of customer service by addressing customers’ questions and concerns and effectively communicating system specifications, performance metrics, and variances. Maintain knowledge of equipment specifications for the major components used in PV arrays, read technical drawings and building plans, and maintain a strong understanding of PV design requirements. Complete necessary paperwork, data entry and notes upon completion of the installation. Communicate with other departments internally as necessary to ensure customer expectations are met. Maintain accurate knowledge of processes and systems that support the service department. Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment. Assembly of mounting hardware. Pulling inventory for specific projects. Follow layout of solar modules. Requirements Rooftop solar installation experience required (1+ years preferred). Knowledge of PV equipment and installation process. Knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment. General construction/framing experience is a plus. Experience working at heights, including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs, and performing repetitive duties such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time. Ability to lift 50‑100 pounds of weight frequently throughout the workday. Ability to safely handle and maintain basic hand and power tools used for installation. Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor. Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment. Valid Driver’s License.
