Opportunity:
Advanced Practitioners - Psychiatry

Job Details:

• Evaluate and manage psychiatric disorders in an outpatient behavioral health setting serving adult populations
• Coordinate appropriate follow-up care, referrals, and case management
• Perform crisis intervention and medication management
• Develop and implement long and short-range treatment plans
• Order and perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, and provide patient notification and follow-up care
• Solicit medical management consult or input when appropriate
• Complete all clinical reminders to keep each patient up to date in the system
• Work in collaborative practice with a Psychiatrist
• Telepsychiatry opportunities available when clinically appropriate
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master's program preferred
• Must be licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut
• Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse through AACN or ANCC required
• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certification preferred
