Boiler Systems Instrumentation Technician About the Role As a Boiler Systems Instrumentation Technician, you will serve as a critical technical expert responsible for the integration, calibration, and operational readiness of complex industrial boiler systems. You will play a vital role in ensuring peak performance and safety by managing electrical and pneumatic control systems in both shop and field environments. Responsibilities Configure and wire control systems for watertube and firetube boilers to ensure seamless operation. Execute precise start-up procedures for rental boiler equipment in the field to meet client demands. Design, assemble, and validate control panels and fuel skids based on engineering schematics. Troubleshoot and optimize combustion settings for diverse boiler configurations, including superheaters and economizers. Perform critical maintenance on control valves, regulators, and auxiliary components to maximize equipment lifespan. Provide technical mentorship to team members regarding boiler operation and advanced control logic. Maintain high standards of efficiency and cost-effectiveness across all technical projects. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with boiler controls, PLCs, and instrumentation. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and blueprints. Demonstrated expertise in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 50 lbs and working in confined or elevated spaces. Preferred Skills Technical degree or specialized certification in industrial controls. Experience retrofitting legacy control systems in active field environments.
