Clinical Nurse Coordinator Trauma Spine

Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator Trauma Spine to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this key nursing leadership role, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to trauma and spine patients across the continuum, serving as a clinical resource, mentor, and liaison for patients, families, physicians, and the interprofessional team. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator Trauma Spine is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of assigned trauma and spine patient care areas, including patient flow, staffing support, clinical decision-making, and ensuring adherence to evidence-based protocols, regulatory standards, and hospital policies. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, and closely monitor patient responses, escalating concerns promptly and collaborating with surgeons, hospitalists, rehabilitation specialists, and ancillary departments to optimize outcomes. This position actively participates in trauma and spine program development, including performance improvement initiatives, data collection, and implementation of best practices to enhance safety, quality, and patient satisfaction. As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will precept and coach nursing staff, support ongoing education and competency development, and foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and professional growth consistent with Mission Health’s values. You will help lead interdisciplinary rounds, facilitate effective communication during transitions of care, and advocate for patients and families, ensuring they are informed, supported, and engaged in treatment and discharge planning.
