General Medicine Clinical Nurse Coordinator

HCA Healthcare is seeking a General Medicine Clinical Nurse Coordinator to support high-quality patient care within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will serve as a clinical leader and resource for the general medicine unit, combining direct patient care with coordination of daily operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate services.

As a General Medicine Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will provide professional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, and closely monitor patient responses while upholding evidence-based nursing standards and HCA Healthcare policies. You will collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and support staff to promote seamless, patient-centered care and effective discharge planning.

You will play a key role in coordinating unit workflow, supporting staff assignments, and helping to maintain appropriate patient acuity and staffing balance. Acting as a clinical resource and role model, you will mentor and precept new nurses, support staff education, and reinforce best practices related to safety, infection prevention, documentation, and regulatory compliance. You will assist with quality improvement initiatives, track unit metrics, and help implement process improvements that enhance patient outcomes, patient experience, and operational efficiency.

The General Medicine Clinical Nurse Coordinator will promote a culture of compassion, teamwork, and continuous learning consistent with HCA Healthcare’s values. You will advocate for patients and families, provide clear education about diagnoses and treatment plans, and support shared decision-making. You will actively participate in interdisciplinary rounds, contribute to care conferences, and help identify and address barriers to care or discharge.
