OR Nurse

Location: Canyon View Surgery Center

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Job Description: The OR Nurse performs the perioperative nursing role crucial for patient care during surgery. This includes preoperative assessment, nursing care plan formulation, operative care plan implementation, and postoperative evaluation.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct preoperative assessments of the patient.
• Formulate and implement nursing care plans.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and site preparation.
• Assist in surgical procedures by setting up equipment and performing sterile technique.
• Perform surgical counts and document nursing care records accurately.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety in the operating room post-surgery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid RN License.
• One (1) year of surgical experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
