Medical Assistant RoleUpperline Health is seeking an energetic, compassionate, and motivated Medical Assistant to support our physicians in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within the clinic setting. Podiatry or orthopedic experience and X-ray experience are highly valued.Key Responsibilities• Prepare patients for appointments and ensure comfort in exam rooms • Complete patient intake including medical, social, and surgical histories • Obtain vital signs and document accurately in athenahealth EMR • Assist physicians during exams and procedures, including taking X-rays • Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam and X-ray rooms • Sterilize equipment according to clinical standards • Conduct health assessments with Upperline Plus patients • Perform telephonic outreach to coordinate preventive care • Support care coordination activities such as scheduling and referrals • Travel to nearby clinics as needed • Perform other duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious experience as a Medical Assistant preferredPodiatry or orthopedic clinic experience preferredX-ray experience a plusCare coordination or care management experience preferredExperience working with geriatric patients is idealStrong computer skills and knowledge of medical terminologyExperience with EMR systems; athenahealth preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong customer service mindsetReliable transportation requiredWho will thrive in this role?Compassionate, service-driven individuals who enjoy helping others, value teamwork, and want long-term stability in a growing, mission-driven healthcare organization.Living Our C.A.R.E.S.
