Senior Data Architect

Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead enterprise data platform assessments, architecture reviews, and data modernization initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for:
- Evaluating current-state data ecosystems
- Defining target-state architectures
- Assessing data platforms and tools
- Developing strategic roadmaps to support analytics, AI, and data-driven business transformation
Qualifications
- Strong experience in Data Warehousing, Data Lake, and Lakehouse architectures
- Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms such as GCP
- Experience with modern data platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT tools and integration frameworks
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks
- Experience with BI and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
- Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills
- Ability to create architecture artifacts and executive-level recommendations
Requirements
- Conduct enterprise-wide data architecture assessments across multiple business domains
- Analyze current-state architecture, integration patterns, data flows, warehouse/lakehouse platforms, and cloud environments
- Develop target-state architecture principles and modernization recommendations
- Evaluate ETL/ELT, BI, data integration, metadata management, data catalog, and AI/MarTech platforms
- Assess scalability, performance, resiliency, security, and data governance capabilities
- Create architecture blueprints, data flow diagrams, and technology landscape maps
- Identify architecture gaps, risks, and remediation opportunities
- Lead stakeholder workshops, technical walkthroughs, and discovery sessions
- Facilitate cross-functional discussions with business, data engineering, analytics, and technology teams
- Translate assessment findings into implementation roadmaps and strategic recommendations
- Support AI, advanced analytics, and enterprise data initiatives through architecture guidance
Preferred Qualifications
- GCP Professional Architect, or similar certifications
- Experience in insurance, financial services, healthcare, travel, or large enterprise environments
- Exposure to AI/ML data platforms and modern data mesh/data fabric concepts
