Transform Lives Through Communication in the Heart of Georgia – Become Our Next Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career that not only uplifts voices but also enriches lives. As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Georgia's most welcoming cities, your mission goes beyond merely addressing speech and swallowing disorders. Each day, you'll have the power to unlock potential, restore confidence, and foster deeper human connections — from children uttering their first sounds to seniors rediscovering their independence.
This position offers an exceptional chance to serve a diverse array of clients across all ages in a dynamic environment that blends outpatient care with occasional inpatient support. Whether your passion lies in pediatric speech development, neurogenic communication impairments in adults, or cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation for seniors, you'll find both satisfaction and flexibility here.
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized assessments and direct observation.
Design individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions that emphasize communication, language skills, fluency, vocal quality, and swallowing mechanics.
Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to devise integrated care strategies.
Educate patients and their families to promote progress outside of clinical settings.
Facilitate speech therapy evaluations and interventions for inpatient clients when needed, ensuring a holistic approach throughout the patient's journey.
Keep precise and prompt documentation that meets the expectations of state and federal regulations as well as organizational standards.
Engage in lifelong learning by pursuing continuing education and collaborating with peers in the field.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet certified by ASHA.
Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for patients of all ages, paired with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired communication disorders, including swallowing issues.
Strong interpersonal skills, fostering effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Adept at customizing therapy strategies to honor diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Possess keen clinical judgment and effective problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and documentation protocols.
Attractive compensation based on experience.
Flexible work hours to support a healthy work-life balance along with diverse caseloads.
Opportunities for specialization in pediatric care, adult neurorehabilitation, or geriatric services.
Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
Comprehensive options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
Financial support for continuing education and professional growth.
Collaborative work environment emphasizing high-quality care and continuous learning.
In this role, you won't only deliver therapy — you'll embed yourself within a community-focused mission dedicated to restoring voices, enhancing communication, and finding joy in the everyday moments that come with human interaction.
Here, you'll join a team that operates like a family, in a culture that treasures collaboration over competition. Each patient has a unique story; we trust you to help narrate it.
The vibrancy of life in this region reflects the blend of innovation with the warm charm of southern hospitality. Surrounded by picturesque landscapes, this part of Georgia is a sanctuary for those who seek harmony among nature, culture, and potential.
Families enjoy afternoons at local parks filled with live music and laughter while adventure enthusiasts hike scenic trails, explore pristine rivers, or unwind at nearby vineyards and farmers markets. Culinary delights range from food trucks serving delicious street eats to renowned restaurants offering modern interpretations of regional classics.
The artistic spirit of the community comes alive in vibrant murals, local music that fills lively venues, and festivals that unite diverse groups of people. For professionals, the advantages extend beyond lifestyle choices: with no state income tax, a low cost of living, and a thriving healthcare industry, this is a place where careers flourish.
No matter if you are new to the field or an experienced practitioner looking to broaden your horizons, you'll find ample opportunities to grow — both personally and professionally.
We are searching for a Speech Language Pathologist who is motivated not just by measurable results but also by empathy. Someone who perceives a shy child and envisions a pathway to self-expression, who listens to the faltering speech of a stroke survivor and recognizes tenacity.
You might specialize in pediatrics, looking to include adult services in your repertoire — or be a neuro-focused clinician excited to weave early intervention practices into your approach.
Whatever your passion, if you are ready to serve with compassion and lead with expertise, we are excited to welcome you.
If you agree that communication is more than mere sound and that therapy transcends prescribed tasks — if you value the foundation of trust as paramount in achieving goals, and laughter should be interwoven with the words we speak — then this role could be the perfect fit for your next career adventure.
Join us in a community that cherishes communication, connection, and the courage required to start anew. Apply today to contribute your voice to our initiative — and help others find theirs.
