Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 10 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred, 1 year minimum for first-time travelers with strong skills License: Active RN state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH; CPI preferred Must-Have: - General surgery/ortho experience - Strong skills in MS/Tele nursing - Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:5 Description: The role is for a MS/Tele Registered Nurse working night shifts. Candidates should be experienced in general surgery and orthopedic procedures. The facility treats adult and geriatric populations, with the possibility of admitting adolescents with a certain tanner score. Surgeries include complex total joints, cervical, lumbar spine fusions, and various other procedures. RNs must be proficient in telemetry monitoring and understand basic cardiac rhythms. Equipment used includes IVs, PCA, PCEA, capnography, and wound vacs. Staffing requires every other weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled. Floating within the specialty and lower acuity is required when necessary. Special details include a strong emphasis on communication through various tools and systems. Ongoing compliance with certifications is necessary to maintain position.
