Focus on patients with co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions. The unit consists of 18 beds, divided into an acute care side and a behavioral health side. The acute care side has a 1:3 nurse to patient ratio, serving 6 patients. The behavioral health side has a 1:4 nurse to patient ratio, serving 12 patients. Care includes managing medical and psychiatric needs. The unit is supported by an interdisciplinary care team. Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season from June to November. Travelers should be aware that they may be required to float within scope to meet facility needs. All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission. Approval for time off will be based on facility needs. Travelers must complete compliance requirements in a timely manner before starting. Candidates with pending licenses will be considered, and proof must be provided. Support provided includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. This position includes responsibilities such as medication administration, wound care, and care for patients with various medical conditions.
