Staff Accountant

We are looking for a skilled and well-organized Staff Accountant to perform a variety of accounting and financial tasks to join our team in our San Diego office. Staff Accountant responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, assist in preparing various financial reports supporting schedules and reconciling bank statements. You will also be responsible for data entry including accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. A successful accounting clerk should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have strong analytical skills. Must be able to multitask and thrive working in a fast paced environment. Job Duties and Responsibilities Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements Reconcile accounts in a timely manner Adapt to changing process environments while updating accounting and documentation to be more efficient to include entering key data of financial transactions including AP, AR and other related items Monthly entry and review of company employee expenses Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies Assist to organize Internal Controls processes and SOX Compliance Qualifications Proven accounting experience highlighting areas of AP, AR, expense processes, and other relevant areas Familiarity with basic accounting procedures Competency in Excel including Pivot tables, LOOKUPS, and other key functions Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports Accuracy and attention to detail Data entry and word processing skills Well organized, detail-oriented and ability to multitask a must 1-2 years relevant experience 4-year college degree with Accounting background (required) Desire to develop career and move into more challenging role This is a hybrid position where you will work at our Corporate San Diego Headquarters, located in beautiful Liberty Station, Tuesday-Thursday. 100% Employer paid medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K, company sponsored lunch in office days and monthly wellness reimbursement are just some of the valuable benefits and perks offered.
