Tech - Surgical

Job Summary:
Provide critical CST/ORT support in the OR for a diverse range of surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and efficient operating room operations. Collaborate with surgical teams during day shifts on a 13-week assignment at a busy hospital.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons by preparing and passing instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment, including robotics when necessary.
• Support patient care before, during, and after surgeries as directed by the surgical team.
• Document procedures, supplies, and equipment usage accurately in accordance with hospital policies.
• Adhere to hospital dress code and safety policies, including rotational on-call duties averaging 2 shifts per month.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid CST/ORT certification with at least 1 year of OR experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in general surgery, robotics, and associated perioperative procedures.
• Possess BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Maintain compliance with all hospital and OR policies.
• Have experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
