Registered Nurse - Cardiology Clinic

Provide safe, family-centered patient care Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Care Process Collaborate with patients, families, significant others, and members of the health care team Supervise and delegate tasks to Nurse Technicians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medical Assistants, Certified Nursing Assistants, and others as defined by the State Administrative Code Incorporate strategic initiatives such as Continuous Performance Improvement, Value Based Behaviors, Error Prevention, Patient Safety, and Workforce Community and Connection into daily work Function within the applicable State and ANA scopes and Seattle Children’s policies, procedures, and care guidelines Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Prior experience in a pediatric-related health care setting or specific nursing area may be required for specific departments Current Washington State RN License, or another current state license required for the role Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required at time of hire, unless qualifying practice-area life support education is held PEARS or PALS accepted in lieu of BLS; ACLS is not accepted as a substitute Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred Pediatric health care nursing experience preferred Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in providing safe, family-centered patient care while utilizing the Nursing Care Process. Capable of collaborating effectively with healthcare teams and supervising nursing staff within the scope of practice.
