This is a RN Travel position. You must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.

Description:

Level II Registered Nurse - Stepdown UnitPosition Overview

• Schedule: D/E/N Rotating Shift Schedule
• Shift Details: 3x12.0 hours
• Requirements: Weekends, Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs
• Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, accountable for provision of competent care based on established standards
• Through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research and evidence based practice
• Assumes an expanded role, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities

Required Experience

• MUST HAVE STEPDOWN EXPERIENCE/PCU EXPERIENCE
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
• Two (2) Years Experience
• Telemetry Experience Required
• Experience in Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3%NS and cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, DBS Insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator), VP shunts, seizures

Required Certifications

• RN License (NY License ONLY)
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)

Preferred Certifications

• ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• NIHSS
