Cardiac Telemetry / Step Down RN – 

Contract Details

• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 Hours/Week (OT after 48 hours worked)
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every Other Holiday

Required Licenses & Certifications

• WI RN License
• BLS (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Must pass EKG Test during the first week of hire

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year strong Cardiac experience :
  • Cardiac Stepdown
  • Intermediate Cardiac Care
  • Cardiac ICU
• Minimum 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience
• Must have experience with:
  • Amiodarone Drips
  • Cardizem Drips
  • Nitro Drips
• At least 1 completed travel assignment
• Minimum 1 year recent EPIC experience

• 44-Bed Intermediate Cardiac Stepdown Unit
• Fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Typical patient ratio: 1:4

• Post-op CABG/Valve Surgery
• Thoracotomy
• Vascular Surgery Patients
• Arrhythmias
• CHF
• Post Cath Procedures
• Pacemakers & Defibrillators
• Ablations
• Acute Chest Pain / MI
• DKA
• COPD Exacerbation
• Respiratory Failure
• Fem-Pop Bypass
• Med/Surg Overflow

Float Requirements

• Must float to all inpatient units as needed.

Low Census / Call

• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Can be low-censused in hourly increments as needed

Charting System

• EPIC (1 year recent experience required)
