Employee Benefits Associate Attorney
Direct Counsel is seeking an Employee Benefits Associate Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law firm in New York, New York .
This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with 3-5 years of transactional experience to join a sophisticated Employee Benefits practice. The team advises clients on executive compensation and employee benefits matters, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation arrangements, employment agreements, and related corporate transactions.
ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on executive compensation and employee benefits matters in connection with mergers and acquisitions.
Draft, review, and negotiate executive compensation plans, incentive compensation arrangements, and employment agreements.
Counsel clients on executive compensation programs and related labor and employment issues.
Support corporate transactions by addressing executive compensation and employee benefits considerations.
Conduct legal research and provide strategic guidance on employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
Collaborate with corporate, labor and employment, and tax attorneys on sophisticated transactional matters.
Manage multiple client matters while delivering practical, business-focused legal advice.
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active membership in the New York Bar .
3-5 years of experience in executive compensation, employee benefits, or related transactional matters.
Experience advising on executive compensation and benefits issues in mergers and acquisitions is preferred.
Experience with executive compensation plans, employment agreements, and labor and employment matters.
Big Law experience is preferred but not required.
Excellent drafting, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Strong academic credentials and the ability to manage sophisticated transactional matters.
Salary: $260,000-$390,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
