Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Urology

Description

 

As a Locum Urology MD, you will diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions affecting the urinary tract and male reproductive system. Working on-site in Prescott, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care in a dynamic clinical setting.

 

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with urological conditions
• Perform comprehensive urological examinations and diagnostic procedures
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic assessments
• Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care for urological procedures
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient medical records
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care
• Participate in on-call duties and emergency consultations as required
• Adhere to hospital policies, medical regulations, and best practice guidelines

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
• Board certification or board eligibility in Urology
• Valid, unrestricted medical license in the applicable jurisdiction
• Associate-level experience in urology practice or a related surgical specialty
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in urology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site clinical environment
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous learning
• Flexibility to work a contract schedule as needed

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p, specific shifts

No call required

Setting: Outpatient

Daily Patient Volume: 25

Patient Population: Adults

Responsibilities: Provide care for new and existing patients

Required Procedures: Cystoscopies, prostate biopsies, vasectomies, and robotic and non-robotic surgeries

Support Staff: Medical assistant

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified

Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and DEA
