About the Role:

ComForCare Home Health Care (North San Diego) is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Dementia Caregiver to join their team in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting for clients with dementia

Implement dementia-specific care techniques to support cognitive engagement and emotional well-being

Monitor and document changes in client behavior, mood, and health status

Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders

Offer companionship and meaningful activities tailored to the client's abilities and interests

Communicate effectively with family members and care team regarding client progress and concerns

Ensure a safe home environment by identifying and reducing fall or injury risks

Requirements:

Previous experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or CNA — dementia care experience strongly preferred

Familiarity with Alzheimer's disease, dementia stages, and memory care best practices

Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal communication skills

Ability to handle challenging behaviors with calm, person-centered approaches

Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Must pass background check and reference verification
