What’s a typical day as Human Resources Manager? You’ll be:

• Leading all day-to-day HR operations, including payroll administration, onboarding, employee records, HR systems, and reporting.
• Managing the full-cycle recruiting process: sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new talent.
• Partnering with managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies for hard-to-fill positions.
• Serving as a trusted resource for employee relations, conflict resolution, workplace concerns, and investigations.
• Maintaining a strong presence throughout the office and production areas.
• Leading performance management, employee development, retention, and succession planning initiatives.
• Developing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Administering benefits, supporting open enrollment, and assisting with compensation planning and benchmarking.
• Coordinating training and development initiatives, including safety training.
• Supporting workers’ compensation, return-to-work processes, OSHA compliance, and workplace safety programs.
• Collaborating with leadership and operations to continuously improve HR processes and employee engagement.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibilities (Required).
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Preferred).
• Possess strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, payroll, benefits, and employee relations.
• Bring experience in manufacturing, woodworking, construction, or similar hands-on environments (Preferred).
• Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Are able to build relationships and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
• Are proficient with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems.
• (Preferred) Hold SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
• (Preferred) Have experience processing weekly union and non-union payroll.
• (Preferred) Have experience working in a small to mid-sized or family-owned business.
