ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel PACU Registered Nurse Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Position requires a rotating shift of 3x12 hours, with shifts from 07:30 to 20:00 or 19:30 to 08:00. Job Description The PACU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. This role involves the recovery and monitoring of patients after surgery, ensuring vital signs and anesthesia effects are managed effectively, and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. Responsibilities Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia recovery. Administer medications according to prescribed protocols. Perform regular assessments of post-operative patients. Provide detailed discharge instructions to patients and family members. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during their recovery phase. Float to pre-op when required and may need to provide support at sister facilities when necessary. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU or 2 years in ICU settings. Active RN license in Maryland or compact state. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH certifications. Experience with Epic charting system preferred. Preferred trauma center experience (Level I or II). Why ARMStaffing?
