Position Information Position Title: Health Peer Navigator Coordinator Working Title: Coordinator of Facilities Operation Position Number: SHGRNT Full-time or Part-time: Part Time Time Limited Position: No Number of Vacancies: Multiple Vacancies Department: Temporary Pools - Student Affairs Posting Number: SHRA/EHRA Job Category: Temporary Hiring Range: Varies/Hourly Overall Position Competency: Temporary Primary Purpose of the Organization: The Coordinator for Peer Navigators will serve as the Coordinator of Operations within the Health and Wellness Center, supporting program operations, data collection, and peer engagement efforts. The Health and Wellness Center serves as a vital component of the university community by offering a wide range of facilities, programs, and services designed to promote holistic well-being and student engagement. Through diverse recreational experiences, fitness opportunities, and wellness initiatives, the department encourages students, faculty, and staff to lead active, balanced lifestyles that contribute to their physical, mental, and social health. By fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment, The Health and Wellness Center not only supports the development of lifelong healthy habits but also creates meaningful opportunities for connection, teamwork, and personal growth that enhance the overall campus experience. Primary Purpose of the Position: The Coordinator manages overall student activity data collection, and oversees daily Campus Recreation facility operations including training and development of 30+ students. The position ensures safe, inclusive, and efficient facility management while promoting participation and engagement in recreational opportunities. Assist with the collection, organization, and documentation of program and participation data Greet students and visitors and check individuals in at the front desk or entry point Help maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the Health and Wellness Center, including shared spaces and resource areas Assist professional staff with day-to-day operational tasks and special projects as needed Uphold confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with students and handling sensitive information Is on-call to provide leadership during times facilities and programs are operating Evening and weekend work required, and flexible schedule required Minimum Education and Experience Requirements 2+ years of professional experience in developing and supervising student and/or part-time employees. Graduate assistantship experience is acceptable 2+ years of professional experience working with facility operations, supervising and/or coordinating weight and fitness areas American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain certification Experience in assessing participant participation and satisfaction Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, organized, and detail oriented Demonstrated diversity advocate Ability to plan and make decisions independently Excellent interpersonal skills, including customer service skills Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Demonstrated proficiency in use of computers and relevant software applications Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Preferred Qualifications 2 years of Experience working in a collegiate setting General knowledge of operations tied into the management of a multipurpose facility Special Instructions to Applicants Please make sure that the work history listed on your application is identical to the work history listed on your resume.
