Our mission is to empower product teams with a modern platform that serves as the single source for all content.Our platform enables teams to manage and evolve content schemas quickly and safely, while also providing the foundation for building user-friendly collaborative editing and publishing tools.We use GraphQL for Schema Definition and queries, Golang for development and PostgreSQL for data storage. We host our platform services on AWS. We also maintain the existing legacy publishing platforms that are hosted on GCP.You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager, Scoop Core.Responsibilities:Take on multiple technical tasks not limited to programming, such as working with Cloud services, platforms and APIsResearch and document proposed solutionsWrite unit tests, integration tests and user documentationAssist other teams to onboard to our platformMaintain existing legacy systemsCollaborate and learn through pairing, design reviews, and code reviewsCollaborate with Product Management and other professionals within your team and across the organizationDemonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.Basic Qualifications:You have 2+ years of experience building large-scale software applicationsYou have experience building backend systemsYou have hands-on unit and integration testing experienceYou have experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and cross-functional partnersPreferred Qualifications:Experience in Golang, GraphQL and toolingExperience in deployments and services on cloud platformsExperience in observability and toolingExperience with Docker and Kubernetes for container and deployment orchestration#LI-HybridREQ-019826The annual base pay range for this role is between:$110,000—$130,000 USDAdditional Compensation and BenefitsFor roles in the U.S., dependent on your role, you may be eligible for variable pay, such as an annual bonus and restricted stock.
