Assembler – Electronic, Wire & Mechanical Assembly

Pay: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: 1st Shift — Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Breaks: Half-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks
Background Check: Not Required
Drug Test: Not Required

Position Overview

We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented Assemblers to support electronic, wire, and mechanical assembly operations. This position may involve working with printed circuit boards, wire harnesses, cables, and electro-mechanical assemblies. The ideal candidate is comfortable using hand tools, following assembly instructions, and maintaining high standards for quality and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components, wire harnesses, cables, and mechanical/electro-mechanical assemblies according to documented procedures and specifications.
• Perform through-hole and surface-mount (SMT) soldering, as applicable.
• Perform hand soldering and rework of electronic and wire components.
• Place and inspect components on printed circuit boards (PCBs), ensuring proper alignment and secure connections.
• Use and identify appropriate hand tools for assigned tasks.
• Operate automated and semi-automated equipment as required.
• Read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions, and other manufacturing documentation.
• Perform functional testing and inspection of completed assemblies.
• Identify defects, shortages, or other issues and communicate them appropriately.
• Perform rework according to documented procedures, engineering changes, or manufacturing deviation instructions.
• Maintain consistent quality, accuracy, and workmanship standards.
• Follow all applicable quality and safety procedures.
• Assist with other assembly tasks as needed to meet production requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in electronic assembly, soldering, wire assembly, mechanical assembly, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with soldering and PCB assembly is preferred for electronic assembly work.
• Ability to understand and work with wire, crimps, connectors, and associated hardware.
• Ability to read and comprehend assembly drawings and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to use basic hand tools safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of IPC standards is a plus.
• Ability to pass a soldering skills test prior to employment for positions requiring soldering.

This is a hands-on assembly position with opportunities to work across electronic, wire, and mechanical assembly tasks.
