Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position in Oklahoma City, requiring at least one year of CVICU experience and a willingness to float to related pediatric units.

Details

• Position is based in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (Cardio PICU) within a hospital setting
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• Must be willing to float to PICU, NICU, and CV Stepdown units
• Weekend commitment of 4 weekend days (Saturday and Sunday) within every 4-week scheduling block
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK state or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• CVICU experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to pediatric cardiovascular patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, documenting care, and collaborating with physicians and support staff
• Engages with patients and families regarding care plans and hospital procedures
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 cumulative weeks before being eligible for a new contract
• Compliance onboarding (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be completed on a firm deadline — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
