Structured Finance Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is seeking a Structured Finance Associate Attorney to join a highly regarded Am Law 100 firm in Washington, D.C.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney with 2–3 years of finance experience to join a nationally recognized Structured Finance practice advising financial institutions and other market participants on sophisticated warehouse lending, securitization, and secured finance transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in representing clients in structured finance, warehouse lending, and secured finance transactions.

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex lending documentation, including warehouse credit agreements and related financing documents.

• Support the structuring, execution, and closing of sophisticated financing transactions.

• Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while coordinating with clients, lenders, and multidisciplinary legal teams.

• Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis on financing structures and transaction issues.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys to deliver practical, business-focused legal solutions.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.

• Active Bar membership in good standing.

• 2–3 years of experience in finance, structured finance, securitization, or secured lending.

• Experience with structured finance and securitization transactions is preferred.

• Experience drafting complex lending documentation, including warehouse credit agreements, is preferred.

• Strong analytical, drafting, organizational, and client service skills.

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
