Overview Our client is seeking a Legal Accountant to support accounting operations and legal billing activities while serving as an escalation point for billing-related issues. This position reports directly to the Controller and is ideal for a mid-level accounting professional with strong financial reporting experience. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations, reconciliations, and month-end close activities Oversee accounts payable, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements Monitor accounts receivable, collections, and billing issue resolution Coordinate legal billing, prebills, invoicing, and billing adjustments Administer trust accounting (IOLTA) and ensure regulatory compliance Support payroll processing and serve as a liaison with payroll providers Prepare financial reports, assist with audits, budgeting, and forecasting Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-5+ years of accounting experience Strong financial reporting and general accounting background Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills Legal accounting, legal billing, or professional services experience preferred Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Why Apply?
