Own the Flow of Seed from Dock to Customer

Bloomington, IL • Full-time, first shift

• Compensation target: $50,000–$60,000/year
• Base: $19–$21/hour + overtime during peak season
• Profit sharing: 15–17% paid in December and August (typically adds ~$3–$4/hour annually)

• Lead a warehouse crew while spending ~75% of your time on a forklift, shoulder-to-shoulder with the team.
• Guarantee that seed, packaging supplies, and materials are stored, picked, and shipped precisely and on schedule.
• Be the point person for customers—confirm when seed leaves and ensure timelines are met.

• People: You assign work, set priorities, and train new forklift operators through our certification program.
• Throughput: Daily load plans are built, dock times are met, and every shipment is staged and verified.
• Accuracy: Every inbound and outbound load is counted and recorded; row locations in the WMS are always current.
• Quality & Safety: You implement the Quality Management System, enforce company safety rules, and spot risks before they become issues.
• Control: You post and release "Hold, Do Not Ship" indicators with QA support.
• Uptime: Forklifts run reliably thanks to your preventive maintenance plan.
• Facility Care: Weatherproofing is buttoned up, climate control and fire suppression are monitored, vendors are scheduled when needed, and pests are kept at bay.
• Standards: The building is neat, clean, and audit-ready—every day.

• Operate forklifts daily and comfortably step on/off equipment all shift.
• Lift 30–70 lb bags repeatedly.
• Lead by example—people naturally follow your direction.
• Obsess over inventory accuracy and complete, clean paperwork.
• Show up—strong attendance and a long-tenured track record.
• Use computers confidently (you’ll work in our inventory system each day).
• Handle basic facility maintenance and know when to call in a specialist.

September–March: conditioning and shipping surge—fast pace, high volume, overtime available. March–September: slower tempo—organizing, preventive maintenance, and prep for next season.

On your feet in a dusty area with seed and pollen exposure. PPE provided; strong dust/pollen sensitivities are not a match.

• Equipment & Mechanical: Equipment Troubleshooting, Mechanical Troubleshooting, Maintenance & Repair, Mechanical Assembly
• Material Movement: Skid Steer Operation, Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse Experience, Material Handling, Loading/Unloading
• Facility Care: Industrial Cleaning Equipment Operation, Packaging Experience
• Core: Meets Physical Requirements, Excellent Communication, Manufacturing Environment experience, Basic Computer Skills, Forklift Licensed
