About You We’re looking for a social media copywriter/ideation specialist with a bottomless pit of fresh social ideas. You have a deep well of references, a pulse on what’s clicking, and can adapt copy to various tones and brand voices. You’re a natural wordsmith who shares ideas confidently, builds on teammates’ ideas, and brings enthusiasm to every project. Experience supporting or guiding high‑profile creative projects from ideation to execution is essential. You’re comfortable pitching decks, collaborating with Creative, Strategy, and Accounts teams, and offering creative solutions that keep clients returning. Previous roles could include social media manager, copywriter, community manager, or creative producer, or a combination of these. Location and Salary This is a full‑time role based in Echo Park, Los Angeles. Salary ranges from $55,000‑$75,000 depending on experience. The role is a contract position through the end of 2026, with the possibility of extension into a permanent position. The agency is hybrid, requiring two days per week in the office. Overall Responsibilities Heavy ideation for everything from lo‑fi reactive content to high‑lift A/V social media. Take creative guidelines from Social Lead or Creative Director and ensure all work is executed accordingly. Attend client meetings and present creative ideas, serving as a creative liaison between Saylor and clients. Write copy for social media, deck presentations, community management, and other tasks as they arise. Craft tone and voice for high‑visibility campaigns. Partner with Creative Production, Strategy, Design, and Editorial teams on scripting and production kickoff meetings as needed. Provide strategic insight on content executions and relevant internet language to back projects with sound creative tactics. Pitch concepts or copy to clients as needed. Collaborate with Account and Strategy teams to maintain brand visual language. Review all creative assets before client delivery or release, providing last‑minute adjustments and quality control. Execution Responsibilities Work closely with the Social Lead or Creative Director to understand campaign goals and support the team in executing strategies. Facilitate strong communication with Creative teams, offering guidance to keep assets on schedule and within constraints. Refine copy and design elements for cohesion and alignment with brand messaging. Relay copy options to clients and address feedback promptly via Slack, Asana, or other channels, keeping client priorities in mind. Collaborate with Strategy to ensure content is optimized for platforms and engages the target audience. Qualifications 1‑3+ years of agency or in‑house studio experience, creating and leading marketing/branded content. High‑level understanding of 360‑campaign creative in entertainment marketing; social‑forward aesthetic and storytelling mindset required. Exceptional storytelling skills, able to assist on pitches and sell creative to clients. Ability to juggle multiple brand voices and craft copy for social posts, pitch decks, and voice‑intensive projects. Eye for strong ideas and executions and ability to communicate their effectiveness. Finger on the pulse of creative culture across platforms, pulling references from diverse sources. Seamless transition between projects of varying complexity. Effective time‑management and ability to meet tight, high‑volume deadlines. Skill in giving and receiving constructive criticism. Familiarity with creative AI tools and workflows (generative AI for ideation, visual exploration, or automation) is a plus.
