Housekeeping EVS Associate Days

Shift Details Full Time | 40 Hours/Week. Days 7AM-3:30PM. Weekend and holiday rotations required. Weekend shift differential: $1 per hour when applicable. Additional Requirements A background check and drug screen will be conducted. The applicant must complete onboarding in a timely manner; failure to do so may result in rescission of the job offer. Mandatory annual flu vaccination is required. The role may involve cleaning mandibles and other areas, mandating hygienic safety procedures when handling blood and bodily fluids. Position Summary This role involves cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining all patient rooms and assigned areas of the hospital. Working as part of the environmental services team, the associate ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Core Functions Perform a variety of assigned cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, and polishing according to departmental policy and procedures. Plan completion of these tasks daily. Empty hampers, transport soiled linen, empty trash containers, and remove all trash. Empty all medical waste containers, including sharps. Inventory, restock, and replenish supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap, and other items in all assigned areas. Maintain cleanliness of departmental equipment; report necessary repairs and properly log equipment usage. Perform special projects such as window washing, wall washing, or removal of heavily soiled items or furnishings. Respond to questions and requests from patients, staff, and visitors; meet or exceed customer‑service satisfaction goals. Work under regular supervision with responsibility limited to an assigned facility/area. Minimum Qualifications Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision. Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions. Effective communication skills, both by phone and verbally. Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals; ability to complete chemical identification stickers. For employees at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital or Whole Health Clinic, possession of an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at hire and maintenance throughout employment. Preferred Qualifications Previous related experience and familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
