Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Medical Office Specialist, you will be responsible for scheduling patient procedures across a multi-provider appointment system. You will process patients into and out of the clinic including preparation of medical charts in a manner that provides a public image of caring and professionalism and facilitates patient flow. You will maintain patient records in a confidential and organized manner and facilitates general communications for the clinic. You will provide assistance to ensure Occupational Health Services (OHS) efficiently and provides high quality services in accordance with the organization's mission, vision, values and goals.

Responsibilities include:

• Processing incoming patients into the clinic system
• Answering phones and scheduling procedures/exams
• Checking out patients treated at Occupational Health Services
• Maintaining and assembling patient medical records
• Performing clerical functions related to medical office operations

Qualifications

Experience:

• 6 months in a medical setting – preferred
• Bilingual - preferred

Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
