Registered Dental Assistant (Arleta)

This position will assist the dentist and the dental hygienist in providing dental care to clinic patients.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare patients for dental procedures, including seating and draping. Assist the dentist during procedures, such as handling instruments, rinsing, and suctioning. Take dental X-rays and teeth impressions for study casts. Perform coronal polishing. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition. Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment. Comply with dental infection control protocols. Prepare treatment rooms. Provide post‑procedure care and instructions. Monitor and maintain dental supply inventory. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment. High level of professionalism, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi‑task while maintaining quality standards. Ability to build productive working relationships. Ability to pleasantly and effectively represent the organization. Graduate degree from an Accredited Dental Assisting program or CDA. 1 to 2 years of related experience. Registered Dental Assistant with the Dental Board of California. X‑ray certified. Coronal polish certified. Ultrasonic certified. Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources.
