Construction Sheet Metal Installer/Retrofit Location: Phoenix, AZ, USA Compensation: $22.00 - $30.00/hour Job Description Sheet Metal Installer at Sunstate Mechanical Services Shift: 8am-4:30pm (Hours vary based on job site) Location: Job sites are throughout the Phoenix Valley area Requirements: You must be 18 years old. You must be eligible to work in the U.S. You must pass a drug test. You must pass a motor vehicle history check. For safety reasons, you must speak English. You must have your own toolkit. A pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check are required. You must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Job Duties: The role involves technical work and customer service, mainly: Fabricating and assembling metal structures based on blueprints and specifications. Operating tools and machinery such as forklifts, cleat formers, bar folders, shears, roll formers, band saws, rotary machines, flangers, notchers, welders, etc. Having a basic understanding of HVAC components that need to be built. Installing, altering, fabricating, and repairing sheet metal products, equipment ducts, and hoods for HVAC systems. Performing stick welding and other welding techniques to join metal components.
