POSITION SUMMARY
Lead Pastry Cook – Full‑time, year‑round role at Buffy’s Ice Cream, Home of Chatham Ice Cream Bars. The ideal candidate has professional bakery or pastry experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include designing and producing baked goods, leading new product development, and contributing to an expanding business with growth potential.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble and finish baked products with attention to detail to ensure visual and taste excellence. Portion and cut finished products into precise, uniform sizes for packaging and distribution. Assist the Pastry Chef in creating and maintaining production plans and schedules. Support the Pastry Chef in developing and refining efficient production workflows. Order raw food materials and maintain proper inventory levels. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment. Assist in training team members on standard recipes and preparation procedures. Uphold quality standards and consistently produce high‑quality products. Show enthusiasm to learn new skills and grow with the business. Contribute positive energy, collaborative spirit, and creative thinking to the team.QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of professional baking or pastry experience. Very detail oriented with strong problem‑solving skills. Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. Dedication to the foodservice/hospitality industry and a commitment to quality. Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment and meet production targets. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods. A great attitude and enthusiasm for being an important part of an amazing team.WHY JOIN US?
