Calvary Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist congregation located in the heart of Modesto, California. Having recently celebrated our 75th anniversary , we are a well‑established community entering a season of renewed outreach and local engagement. We are committed to the Baptist Faith and Message and seek a leader who aligns with these core theological convictions. We are seeking a compassionate, bi‑vocational Senior Pastor to provide spiritual leadership and shepherd our congregation into its next chapter of ministry. The ideal candidate will oversee all spiritual matters and church ordinances while fostering a culture of growth and community connection. Key Responsibilities Word and Worship : Lead weekly preaching and coordinate comprehensive worship planning. Leadership and Administration : Provide direct supervision for church staff and oversee the administration of various ministry departments. Pastoral Care : Offer biblical counseling and support to the congregation and community. Outreach and Engagement : Support the evangelistic team in developing initiatives to engage with the Modesto community. Modesto is located in Stanislaus County within California’s Central Valley, offering a central location approximately 75 miles south of Sacramento.
